What kind of gear will I need?
In every program we have a list with the
things you will need (clothing, gear, backpacks,
etc) according to the program and the weather
conditions of the area you visit. In regard to
activities such as canoeing, rafting, mountain
biking and rock climbing, we provide all the
necessary equipment (wet suits, ropes, rafting
boats, etc) except rock climbing shoes.
Do I have to carry my entire luggage
during the hiking?
Absolutely not. Every participant
carries his/her backpack with the necessary for
the daily hike. The rest of the luggage is
transferred by 4x4 to the next location
according to the itinerary. Only when we stay at
campsites or mountain refuges we carry some
extras for 1-2 days.
When is the most appropriate period to
join a trip with RE?
In every activity or program we refer
also the appropriate period in which in can be
conducted. With few exceptions the bulk of our
activities take place from the beginning of
April until the end of October.

How important is physical condition?
A person’s physical condition is an
important factor in his/her decision to sign up
to a trekking trip or a walking program. All our
programs are rated according to the level of
difficulty. As long as you are reasonably active
you will certainly find a program tailored to
your abilities. It is advisable that when you
book an active trip that involves walking,
hiking and generally an amount of physical
strain, it is in your best interest to increase
the amount of exercise in your everyday program.
In this way your physical condition will be much
improved when the time comes to join a trekking
tour.
Self-guided or guided tour?
As long as you are an experienced walker
and you have done self-guided tours in similar
terrain in the past you can choose to walk
individually and we will handle your trip
support. Self-guided tours are not recommended
to first time walkers and people with little
experience in hiking tours.

until the 31st of March. The weather during
these months is often rainy and the mountains
